The Camino Real Peruvian Horse Club was founded in 1998 by Harrison and the late Charlotte McDonald, Drs. Alice M. Wolf and James H. Johnson, and Ms. Rita Rothenberg. Col. Patrick Bossetta joined us the on the Board of Directors several years later. Harrison and Patrick resigned from the Board of Directors in 2006. We thank them very much for their years of dedicated service to the Club.
Current Officers: President: Alice M. Wolf, DVM, DACVIM, DABVP Alice is a veterinarian who has been in private practice and taught at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University for 24 years. She is presently a consultant for the telemedicine service: Veterinary Information Network®, and does private consulting for industry. Alice has had horses all her life and she and her husband, James Johnson became involved in the Peruvian breed in 1992. She has been a RAM for PPHRNA, Governing Council Member of NAPHA and presently serves on the Board of Directors for NAPHA. Alice and Jim own, breed, train, and ride their Peruvian horses at JyW Coyote Creek Ranch in Bryan, Texas.

Vice President: Rita Rothenberg Rita has owned and bred Peruvian horses for nearly 30 years. She serves as our Sponsorship Chair for the show and has a special love for our Juniors and Challenged Riders. Rita works tirelessly to acquire all the wonderful prizes and special trophies that we award at the CRPHC show. While we have members in the CRPHC we do not charge "dues" as other clubs do for services that few members ever use. What we have is a very enthusiastic group of supporters who help us tirelessly with our show and we are most appreciative of these outstanding friends. If you would like to help us with the show, we are always appreciative of assistance!!
Some of our special members are the Paso Dobles Exhibition Riding Group, pictured below. Their performances at our shows are always entertaining and fun. The members include Will and Christine Thorpe, Dave and Donna Maggard, Brenda and Martin Lopez, and Janie and Larry Blevins. |
