Everyone is invited and encouraged to participate in these classes regardless of whether you are shooting for the Top Gun Award!!  Come as you are!  No special tack or attire is required.

Barrida of Champions:  All Show Champion of Champions and High Point Award winners are invited to ride in the Barrida.  Junior High Point winners may ride with written parental permission.

 

 

* :  First AND second place winners in these Bozal, Gait, and Open Performance classes are qualified to show in their respective Champion classes.

 

++:  Amateur Adult Novice:  18 years of age and older, not having won more than 5 (FIVE) blue ribbons in recognized shows in the past 3 years including Junior classes.

 

Amateur Adult Owner:  18 years of age and older, rider is the registered owner of the horse .

 

#:     Previous CRPHC Champions and Champion of Champions, National Champion of Champions – MUST pre-enter by show closure deadline

 

 THE SHOW MANAGEMENT reserves the right to combine small classes for judging purposes and to split classes with large entries.

 

 PERFORMANCE CLASSES

 

 All exhibitors should be prepared for maneuvers which may include: small or large circles to the left or right, figure “8”, stop and stand quietly, efficient movement through serpentines, backing straight, walk on a loose rein, paso llano and sobreandando.  Other movements may be asked for by the judge at his/her discretion in order to best assess the entries.

 

 AMATEUR AND AMATEUR NOVICE RIDERS

 To participate in the Amateur or Amateur Novice classes, a rider must have an Amateur Declaration and/or Novice declaration on file with NAPHA ( PPHRNA).  These forms will be available in the show office if you do not yet have one on file this year.

 

FREESTYLE REINING TO MUSIC

Time limited to 3 minutes.   No “tricks” (no bowing, rearing, lying down, etc).  Performances are to be judged on communication between rider and horse with a minimum of extraneous movement, energy, harmony and cadence of maneuvers, coordination between movements and music, choreography of movements, and costume appropriate for the musical selection.  Costume should not cover the horse.

Entrants, please bring music on a CD and give this to the announcer prior to the start of the evening performance.

 

NOTE

 The no Conflict of Interest statement, the Arbitration Agreement, and the Equine Liability Declaration on the back of the entry form must be signed or your entry will not be accepted.

 Parents of Junior riders, please be sure that the Parental Consent statement on the entry form has been signed.
